ACA Illinois considers an Executive Level Skill to be a combination of skills that are demonstrated/used in an executive level position. These may include high-level finance, customer service, strategic planning, governance, fund development, people development, organizational change, and more.

Who should attend the Executive Seminar?
Current and aspiring executives of any organization, camp directors/owners, and managers. Please note that this program is designed for experienced professionals.
Who are the faculty?
Each year, ACA Illinois identifies faculty who are subject matter experts in their field and provide our attendees with current information that will increase their understanding and executive skills on the topic. Faculty must have extensive knowledge of their subject matter, documented experience & expertise as an executive within their subject matter, and be experienced with training/educating adult learners.
This year’s Executive Seminar is themed around legal considerations and laws facing camps and organizations. Staying up to date on these topics will help strengthen your organization's risk management, human resources, and overall goals - particularly around Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion.

This is a must attend seminar! Spend the day gaining essential knowledge that will help you run your organization efficiently and effectively. If you hire and manage employees - either year round or seasonal - this is the event for you!
Who Should Attend?
This event has been carefully curated to serve the needs of executive and senior leaders in both nonprofit and for profit organizations. Managers or professionals who hire and manage employees are also encouraged to attend.
Aspiring executives and managers are invited to attend, however should be aware that the content is at an experienced level.
Meet the 2023 Executive Seminar Faculty: Nathan Breen, Esq.
Nathan J. Breen is a partner with Howe & Hutton, Ltd. Nathan serves as counsel to national and international trade associations across a wide variety of industries providing guidance in the areas of association governance, antitrust, intellectual property, certification and accreditation, ANSI standards, information technology, hospitality, employment law, and risk management. He has twice served as the Chair of the Trade and Professional Associations Committee of the Chicago Bar Association. Nathan has taught courses in hospitality law both in person and online as an adjunct professor at Lexington College and Kendall College. He earned his undergraduate degree from DePaul University and his Juris Doctorate from The John Marshall Law School (now University of Illinois Chicago School of Law). Nathan is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and the American Society of Association Executives and is admitted to practice in Illinois and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
